Configuration Task Summary

1) Download and install USB to TCP/IP driver (EMM Driver)

2) Setup web browser Proxy Exceptions

3) Upload base configuration file for desired operation KEYBOARD WEDGE or CCDI modes

Keyboard Wedge  - With the keyboard wedge functionality, users of OMNIKEY 5x27 CK readers can retrieve data from a card that is presented to the reader and directly input the card data into an application using keystroke emulation. This eliminates the need for customers to manually enter the card data into an application on a windows PC. Some copier manufactures of MFD's do support this mode.

CCDI (Circuit Card Interface Device)- Is used by office equipment manufactures to read card data information directly into the device. This often requires the equipment manaufacture to have developed a driver which is loaded onto the hardware to intergarte the two devices.

If other entries already exist then separate the entries with a semi colon (;). Open and close IE for changes to take effect.

b) The OMNI Reader Management screen should be shown. Open the SYSTEM CONFIG Tab | Click in the field to the right of the UPLOAD CONFIG button. This will open a browse window. Locate the required base configuration file (Keyboard Wedge or CCDI files are attached - see below) and click Open. Now click the UPLOAD CONFIG button.

The reader will load the configuration and reboot, this takes around a minute.
